Too late sadly for the current issue but here's news of an event in South Bristol to help a very worthy charity ...

One former pupil recently wrote "Maji Safi Projects has catered for my learning since I was in primary school right up until today where I have almost finished my degree at Pwani University. Thanks to them, soon I will achieve my dreams."

And one of the current teachers has declared "Hats off to MAJI SAFI Projects. In Inspirations Primary school, where am getting my daily bread to date, they provide school uniform, textbooks, school shoes, classrooms, mosquito nets, the school furniture etc..... the list is endless.....and the community has actually benefited a lot; women don't have to walk distances to fetch water now, as this precious product is now available at the school ( via water tanks filled by the borehole which was constructed to solve the problem)..... On behalf of Inspirations school and the surrounding communities, THANK YOU MAJI SAFI..."
Linda and Mike are desperately needing funding to be able to continue and will be holding the annual Maji Safi Barn Dance, with Cats' Whiskers, at Ashton Park School on Saturday 19th March from 7.30pm. Tickets cost £8.50 in advance from 07989 601302 or 07803 052039, or from Bristol Ticket Shop (£8.50 + booking fee) or cost £10 on the door. The price includes a ploughman's supper and there will be a bar along with raffle and sales of Kenyan crafts.
