Bedminster Lantern Parade needs more help

Bedminster Lantern Parade requires more help – 30 more volunteer stewards are needed to make it a success.

New surprises for 2016 Bedminster Winter Lantern Parade revealed!

MORE stewards are need to make Bedminster’s famous Winter Lantern Parade a success.

Roads will be closed at North Street, Cannon Street, British Road and South Street from 3pm on to allow thousands of spectators to admire dozens of spectacular lanterns.

For the first time Ashton Park secondary school will join 10 local primary schools in taking part. Lanterns flyerTeachers from the 10 primary schools have enjoyed a workshop with Lantern Parade artists to start creating the remarkable lantern designs.

This year’s Parade will have some new treats for everybody to enjoy.  For the first time, parade goers will be able to enjoy special animated lanterns funded by the Arts Council made in Bedminster, some brand new parade musicians, and other surprises along the way, all of which will add up to the most spectacular event yet.

But to make this event happen, the parade still needs to recruit 30 more  volunteer stewards to help the event run smoothly and safely.  If you would like to help out, please email the organisers at
