New meetings to discuss arena announced in Totterdown and Knowle
AS the October issue of the South Bristol Voice went to press, the council was still announcing details of extra consultation events to be held in the communities neighbouring the arena site.
A meeting is to be held in Totterdown on Friday October 2, arranged in conjunction with Tresa, the Totterdown residents' group.
It will be from 7pm-8.30pm at Totterdown Methodist Church in Bushy Park.
Council officials will be present to answer questions.
Officials will also attend the meeting otf Knowle Neighbourhood Forum, which is open to the public, on October 6.
It's at 7pm at Knowle Community Centre, The Square Bristol, BS4 2SS.
Further presentations are expected to be announced at neighbourhood events – but none, including the above two meetings, appears to have been publicised on the council website yet.
There will also be an event at the council offices at 100 Temple Street where visitors can ask the project team questions on October 1, 6pm – 7.30pm.

The consultation closes on October 13.
A detailed planning application is expected to be submitted in late October or early November.
There will be a further six weeks of consultation on the planning application.
The application is expected to be considered by the council's planning committee in February.
A further outline application is expected to be submitted at the same times for the second stage of the site – the commercial and residential buildings to go next to the arena – illustrated above.
