Susannah Townsend MBE, international hockey midfielder and part of the 2016 Rio Olympic team, was joined by Fiona Pocock, international rugby player, to share training and tactical tips as well as stories from their lives at the top of professional sport.

The duo went on to visit Cheddar Grove Primary school for more coaching and discussions with students.

Bedminster Down School assistant headteacher Phil Bailey arranged the visit.

He said:“Having such female role models working with our students in school is so important. At Bedminster Down we are striving to provide all students with opportunities to develop their ability, resilience and aim as high as they can

“Susannah and Fiona are aiding us on this journey both in their specialist sports but also in what it takes to succeed in life.”
